Rent The Runway

I recently attended a friend’s wedding in Fredericksburg , Texas. I had never been there before and immediately fell in love with the small town charm.  Antique shops, Austin stone, and Wine Vineyards are the main attractions; and trust me, they don’t disappoint.

One of the things I loved most about this wedding (*besides my sweet friends tying the knot*) was the bridesmaid’s dresses. These were dresses that you could ACTUALLY wear again (but seriously ya’ll).  I asked a couple of the bridesmaids where they were from, and they all happily told me they ordered them from a website called

So I did a little research and fell in love all over again. The whole site is filled with amazing clothes from your favorite designers, and all for a reasonable rental fee. For example, I found this stunning Vera Wang gown that would be perfect for a black tie event.  Unfortunately, I don’t have $2000 to spare—just chump change, am I right?  But through, it can be mine for the weekend for $85.  See what I mean?  Everything from rompers, skirts, and crop-tops to formal gowns and bridal accessories—they have it all.

Seriously, what a neat idea- being able to rent a dress or romper instead of buying one when you know you’re probably only going to wear it once. I can’t tell you the number of “one hit wonders” that are hanging in the back of my closet. Actually, let’s rephrase that, I can’t tell you the number of “EXPENSIVE one hit wonders” in the back of my closet.

I’ve got better things to spend my money on. Like shoes and dog food.

Ya’ll, I’m getting on this Rent The Runway bandwagon.
